  Duncan Hunter argued passionately against closing the prison at Guantanamo, and said the prisoners there in fact have great living conditions. "They have better health care than most Americans," he said. A progressive-minded person would find this statement frightening on multiple levels.

• It's really nice when debates actually involve debate, and Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee made excellent sport of each other last night.
• Every time I read something that Joe Lieberman says, I get nauseous. This man was almost a Democratic Vice President.
• Court rules thought police unconstitutional.
  
• Wait, they're doing what with human and animal DNA now? Whose island is this?
• I have a hard time telling whether the White House is the worst bunch of scam artists ever or the best. The fact that every news source I read has mentioned something about their bullshit statistics on violence in Iraq would suggest that they're the worst, but the fact that they'll probably get their way on the next course of action in Iraq suggests that they're the best.
