- You know where MoveOn.org got that "Betray-us" thing? From a caller on Rush Limbaugh's show referring to Chuck Hagel.

- Question: Can anti-war sentiment be accurately measured by how often Elvis Costello's "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding" gets played on the radio and in retail outlet canned music programs? Because I'm hearing it a lot.
- Cheating on your wife with a long string of prostitutes is one thing, but I draw the line at supporting creationists.

Yeah, so as you mentioned, He's gonna veto the re-write of the S-CHIP program, which previously did a whole lotta good. It would do a lot of good in its new form, but a family pulling in 60k a year can pay for insurance..
But you see, the beef I have with S-CHIP, is that since so much tax money is stuck in the war, is that the democrats are proposing huge tobacco tax hikes. Big cigarette ones, whatever, but the cigar taxes- up to 10$ a stick. And, it will also make the already-struggling industry eat back taxes on all their current stock- December 31st, they owe tax on all their old stock- they're just getting double-dipped. The larger internet retailers are gonna get knocked about 25-30 million, and it'll basically decimate a mom & pop industry. Not to mention do a big nasty job on the other countries that make these cigars for the US. So, it's going down in history as the largest excise tax on anything- 20,000%.

Guess I'm gonna fracture a federal law from time to time if it goes through.. not to mention the social aspects of hanging around the tobacconist a couple times a week. No fun..
